Prayer is the easiest way to calm the mind; remove distractions of countless thoughts that create stress. Personally, I learned to pray daily when I was a child. I remember praying in the morning before the day started in school; and in the evening at home after the afternoon play, before we settle down for homework and dinner. This was an unsaid family ritual.

After getting out of my parental home, this practice was discontinued, and it brought unwanted negative thoughts, a cloudy, lost and unfocused mind with years of suffering for me. As I am bringing this practice back into my life, I am also realizing the power of prayer and the fact that "There is always something to be thankful for", so pray to say thanks.
The science geeks out there who are reading this must know there is science behind prayers. The best-known fact about creation is that, it is the sound vibrations from the Big-Bang that created the Universe and this sound is still present and expanding the Universe as we speak. Prayers have sound vibrations that are spoken with intense focus and intention, and this sound changes the molecular structure of its surroundings including the human body and the environment we live in. In addition, the way you sing any prayer changes the way you breathe because of the rhythm of the prayer. Sanskrit being the language of sounds, when prayers are chanted in Sanskrit, it becomes a meditative process and helps calm a restless mind.
Now that you have seen the examples of how sound & intention can change water, imagine if 70% of our body is made of water; how does this sound change our body as we pray. For me, this is how I want to create and change my body. So, I pray and I wish you do the same. Pray and free yourself; free from worries to create a life from the intention of your prayers.
If you need help finding prayers, here are a few you can start your practice with.
Happy praying.
