My Story
Growing up in India, I was exposed to Ayurvedic lifestyle as a part of my upbringing without realizing it. I was drawn to yoga and meditation as a young person and it has shaped me in many ways I am deeply grateful for. Along the way, I lost touch with my roots while studying to be an engineer and moving to USA to pursue a graduate degree and a career.
I was a busy full time engineer and raising my child in Silicon Valley. During Covid, I chanced upon an online ayurveda cooking class and it was a catalyst for the transformation that followed in my life. I restarted yoga practice, enrolled to study Ayurveda from Dr. Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, chose to retire early and focus on learning and living a balanced lifestyle. I am grateful for my family to have supported this. After the practitioner training, I discovered Divya and her courses on Ayurvedic cooking and am so grateful learn from her. It offered me a deeper dive into food which is a fundamental pillar of Ayurveda and offers healing on a daily basis.
I am super excited to join Sujata through Ayur-Vidya and share my love and passion for food and Ayurveda.
