More you give, more you receive

A couple of days ago when I was walking in the garden, I saw this plant I have got last year. When i bought the plant, it was bursting with flowers like the image below. You could hardly see the leaves or anything else but the flowers. We used the flowers during Ganesh Chaturthi and I thought to myself we'll make this plant flower the same next year for the Puja.

What I saw two days ago, didn't look anything like this. The plant is still in the pot; but it looked wilted with dried flowers hanging all over it. Without thinking, my hands started to break off the dead flowers until all of them are gone. Now, I could see the leaves and the dried trigs in the plant. I cared for the plant and spoke a few words, noticed that the roots are strong and the soil is moist.

Today, when I was walking, the plant looked greener and I noticed new flowers have started appearing. All of a sudden, the plant looks more vibrant and lively. This made me realize, the plant was always producing flowers; the more we took these flowers, the more the plant produced and always stayed full. But when we stopped picking these flowers and left them on the tree, the plant continued to work on the same flowers instead of producing more.

When I reflected this on my own life, I realized the more we give in life, the more we receive. Just like the plant, when flowers are not used ultimately it affects the flowering, the same happens in our lives as well. And we forget to GIVE more.

So, to everyone reading this, just like we need a gardener to prune the fruit trees and clean out the dried flowers every now and then; we need to also maintain the love in our life by pruning it, cleaning it and making it clear so we have the energy to GIVE more and the cycle will continue.
